Reading is both a pleasure and a commitment. Getting into and finishing a great novel takes time and dedication, both of which are not always available and/or possible to have. So, for those busy days where time is just not on your side, or those other days you’re just a bit too tired to commit to a long novel, provided here is a list of seven novels that are under 200 pages.
It’s a comfy ordeal.
Curling up with a book and being half done, if not completely devouring it, in one sitting can bring out a whole new level of fulfillment. And a thirst for more. Here are some books that can satisfy your palate for a short read.

Length: 159 pages. Beginning excitedly with Mel escaping the scene of her newest high-stakes burglary, chased by security and fast guard dogs, the book gives promise to an exciting, quick read.

2) The Light of Supremazia ((after)life lessons, Book 1) by Alana (Siegel) Mag
Length: 183 pages. The novel begins with an intriguing prologue that raises exciting expectations for the larger story.
Aside from homework, long lectures, male best friend drama, and boy crushes, Jules Vinklevoss’s life is nothing like an ordinary teenager’s. Not only can she see spirits, the ghosts of famous people long passed make up the teaching staff at her new high school. To make matters worse, her family, having once battled a malevolent spirit, has become targets of revenge—and Jules happens to be primary target A.
3) Winter King (The Wyth Courts #1) by J.S. Dark
Length: 184 pages. With mystic descriptions about physical shifting starting the novel, the magic comes to life quickly, making this quick read an expectedly easy and enjoyable read.
Fae ruler, King Cadewyn of the Winter Court, has a poisoned kingdom to save… and a human life to sacrifice. Snatched from the human realm by the—totally hot—fae king, Amber battles herself against being enchanted by her captor. Though, when the fated pair are revealed to be romantic mates, Cadewyn’s plans may need changing and the road, dangerous.
4) Crazy For Brew (Spellbound Ever After Paranormal Cozy Mystery # 1) by Annabel Chase
Length: 191 pages. The best type of mystery novel is one that you can devour in a couple days or less.
Emma Hart is a newlywed lawyer and excellent witch looking forward to the town’s annual Spellbound Day celebration. However, mysterious happenings impede the town’s joyful preparations—townsfolk are suddenly acting strange. Emma realizes it may be up to her to figure out what supernatural force is behind the town’s chaos.
5) The Paranormalist: Servants of the Endless Night by William Mass
Length: 194 pages. The gripping beginning following a group tour through a deceased serial killer’s haunted home introduces expectations of exciting horrors.
Plagued by the atrocities committed by his dark sorcerer father and determined to make things right, Simon Kane uses his father’s magic to offer services to the local law enforcement when cases involve the supernatural. This case: a murdered reality TV show host in a haunted house. Vampires, witches, ghosts—Simon has dealt with many enemies, but his guilt is the one thing he isn’t sure he can vanquish.
6) The Blind Dragon: A Gay Shifter Romance (Drake’s Street #1) by Noah Harris
Length: 165 pages. As visually capturing as is the emotional plot, this book promises fulfilling reading.
Konrad is an up-and-coming artist in the artsy dragon community of Drake Street; but his trust issues and rejection of love leave him cold and detached. When Shaeffer comes to the district, Konrad can’t handle the way he looks at him: Like Shaeffer sees more in him than just a gorgeous face, unlike the one-time men in Konrad’s life. 7) His Cougar Dream: Paranormal Dating Agency by Moxie North
Length: 122 pages. With a unique first page, this book draws you in and will make reading through it in a single sitting a fun—and possible—exercise.
The shortest book on the list, His Cougar Dream features an unlikely love story between a love-spurned human male, Titus, and an eager cat-shifter, Sadie, who desires a life with her true mate. Although ‘matched’ to one another by matchmaking specialist, Gerri Wilder, Titus wants nothing to do with the fated pairing. Even if Sadie is beautiful and he is ‘happily’ single. And Sadie, feeling the pressure as the only un-mated shifter in her family, will use whatever methods in her power to make this match happen.
This list is loaded with great novels that are worth your reading time. Short and sweet, the best thing about short novels is that they always leave room for more. Picking two would be the greatest treat.
